It is with great pleasure that we announce that L.A. Pacific University Faculty Member,
Gary Clifford, has been named the 2022 Glendora Citizen of the Year!
Not only is Gary a dedicated member of the Glendora community, but he has also been a significant contributor to our LAPU community over the past seven years. Dr. Craig Brewer, a LAPU Assistant Dean, shared, “I would like to congratulate Gary Clifford for being named ‘2022 Glendora Citizen of the Year.’ Mr. Clifford teaches criminal justice and public administration at the undergraduate and graduate levels. He personifies the LAPU core values of exemplary, caring, and learning through his outstanding service to the local community. We are very grateful to Mr. Clifford for his many contributions to the LAPU community! He has been instrumental in several initiatives, beyond teaching, including the Public Administration Advisory Council, program review, program learning outcome assessment, and curriculum development.”
With a wide range of experience in several industries, including business, government, law enforcement, and education, Gary shares his wealth of knowledge and expertise with students. Some of his career highlights include: Vice President and General Manager of an entertainment manufacturing company owned by AOL/TimeWarner, Mayor of Glendora, multi-term city council member, elected Glendora Unified School District Board Member, and over twenty years as a Higher Education faculty member!
He has a passion for adult students and admires their enthusiasm while pursuing graduate and undergraduate degrees. His instructional and academic interests revolve around attributes versus experience in the marketplace and the human dynamics involved with organizational culture.
Today, we congratulate Gary Clifford on this well-deserved honor and thank him for all that he has done and continues to do to make LAPU a fantastic place to learn.
